PERFORMATIVE LECTURE

Connecting Our Heritage

With Emanuel Ntaka, Miriam Gomes, Boubacar Traoré and Lucía Hellín Nistal (Spain)
Tuesday, June 17

6:30 p.m.
Fundación Rosa Luxemburgo

Free admission
A performative lecture that articulates a critical exploration of the historical and symbolic mechanisms of exclusion of racialized communities, as well as their inescapable and fundamental presence in the composition of cultural identities at a global level.

With an interdisciplinary approach, the proposal combines audiovisual narratives, music, literature and a specialized theoretical framework. Starting with the screening of the short film Uniendo nuestra herencia, produced by Afrotransmedia, starring  Emanuel Ntaka and directed by Pablo A. Varela, artists and specialists will present scenic and conceptual interventions.

This performative activity seeks to challenge hegemonic narratives and open space for recognition, empathy and the construction of a shared memory.
