On the occasion of the screening of the documentary Amigo Secreto (2022, Brazil), a debate will be held on the role of information technologies in digital environments and the media and their impact on democracy. Leandro Demori, journalist, writer and one of the protagonists of the film, the Wikipedia Argentina team, and Carolina Martínez Elebi will reflect on the challenges in the exercise of journalism and communication in the context of new information technologies.
The main issues regarding the protection of fundamental rights in environments mediated by digital technology will be addressed. And it will encourage debate and reflection on digital rights and communication in democratic contexts.
