But in the chaotic city, Afrin faces danger, befriends fellow orphans, and clings to hope for a new life.

Curatorial note:

Mighty Afrin is a rare and quietly powerful film. With unflinching honesty and poetic vision, this hidden gem captures one of the most urgent human rights crises of our time — climate migration. Following a young girl’s defiance in the face of loss, precarity, and displacement, the film is a luminous reflection on the courage required to navigate a sinking world. ClimateCulture
