From the very beginning, the Escuelas section has offered a space where students—whether attending screenings of their own films or selections from the official FICDH program—can express themselves and participate. We aim to share with the students and their teachers short and feature f films, which spark debate and reflection on human rights as part of their academic curriculum and local and global agendas.
In addition to specifically opening a space for sharing and learning for schools in the Metropolitan area of Buenos Aires, this edition aims to provide an opportunity to address topics that teenagers face, such as substance abuse, human trafficking, gender identity, organized community activism, sexual diversity, social stereotypes, poverty and armed conflicts.
