Curatorial note:

Mariposas negras allows us to understand, through its polyphony, that structural conflicts around the world today have victims in common: migrants, women, and the Global South. All of them are shaped by a key component: the climate crisis. This Goya-winning animated feature film makes not-so-mentioned inequalities visible in both heartbreaking and necessary stories.
