Synopsis:

Casablanca brothers Antonio (31) and Gabriel (26), both chess enthusiasts and artisanal fishermen, embark on an intimate journey across the vast Pacific Ocean in search of the missing body of the son of a Chilean military officer, Major Correa, lost at sea. The initial plan: to find the body in exchange for information about the whereabouts of their sister Lucía, who was arrested and disappeared during the civil-military dictatorship in Chile.

Curatorial note:

This is a story about family and grief, but also about resistance in Chile, a country still scarred by the pain of forced disappearances during the dictatorship. Through this journey between memory and the sea, the film questions the traces left by political violence and the silence imposed by history. What can be expected when negotiating with those who have destroyed lives? Camille Le Manchec
