Synopsis:

Thanks to their memories and relentless struggle, Emma, Beatriz, Delia, and Cristina managed to reconstruct and locate the house where they were kidnapped and tortured during the last military dictatorship. In an act of remembrance and resistance, their testimonies take shape in a sketch, a reflection of the same method used by the Justice system in 2020 to identify the clandestine center that left an indelible mark on them.

Curatorial note:

Una casa brings together Emma, Delia, Beatriz and Cristina, survivors of the last civil-military dictatorship in Argentina. Together, they reconstruct their memories of the clandestine detention center where they were subjected to violence. But they are no longer alone: the act of testifying together, while echoing the horror, also sheds light on the bonds of solidarity built in captivity and the flashes of humanity that sustained them, thus transforming the unspeakable into an indispensable testimonial source in the construction of their truth.
