Curatorial note:

The protagonist of Breu Febril speaks to us with a voice full of rage and, at the same time, reflection. Wallace Douglas understands that the poetic and the political share indissoluble bonds, and so, through the use of off-screen narration, he delves into themes related to the consequences of colonialism and the effects of racism through an experimental mode. And this is where images and words not only denounce: the exploration of the expressive possibilities of digital images and the spoken word proves how a camera or a pencil can picture a world from other perspectives. To poeticize is a right—a tool for resistance, necessary in these cruel and unjust times. Tobías Ramírez
