Synopsis:

Rose Kim is a transgender teenager. Although he yearns for it, he hasn’t come out yet, and so he goes around in his female body assigned at birth. Maybe because he is alone in a country where he migrated illegally. Or maybe (and especially?) out of fear of losing his only affectional bond with the world: Camila, a baby just a few months old whom he babysits.

Curatorial note:

Solo Kim portrays, with surprising delicacy, the life of a trans teenager navigating a complex storyline with challenges and personal desires while taking care of a baby who connects him with tenderness and his sense of belonging. Kim reminds us that when everything seems uncertain and horizons collapse, there is still that tiny island—unbreakable and bright—where we can stand: the affirmation of our identity. Leandro Martínez
