A child´s diary bears witness to the horrors hidden in The Mustached Clown Circus, a sinister spectacle that took place in a Latin American country. A twisted children´s tale where entertainment disguises disappearances and torture. The tamers and their creatures play with terrified young girls, while the clowns revel in their macabre performance of cruel and cynical acts.

In Latin America, horror as an artistic genre is often associated with politics itself. In this collectively created children’s story, there is no doubt about it: the piece’s visual language is rich with symbolism and intertextuality. It is a macabre game of metafiction, led by a circus troupe, guided by a testimony that proceeds from exile, and watched over by the souls of thousands of victims of state terrorism in our region.
