Synopsis:

Two Less explores the final year of Joanne Florvil and Beatriz Díaz Agüero, two women who emigrated to Chile at different times and from different countries: Beatriz arrived in 1973 from Argentina; and Joanne in 2016, from Haiti. Although their motivations and contexts were dissimilar, their coincidences—in their personal lives and outcomes—invite us to reflect on how little repressive forces in Chile have changed in 40 years.

Curatorial note:

Through its stroke and memory, Dos menos gives voice to the silenced stories of migrant women. A suspended grief that questions state violence and turns absence into presence, memory into action. A piece that invites us to listen to voices from beyond, to remember what hurts and persists. Mina Margo
