Aïcha, an 11-year-old Afro-German girl, discovers a mistake that she doesn’t want to accept: her name was misspelled in her official citizenship papers. She decides to find out why nobody but her seems to notice the mistake. Combining documentary and fiction, the film reflects on the importance of our names in the construction of our identities and the role every individual plays within a community, while pointing out how meaningful it is to feel social support.
