The VLP orchestra rehearses for their next concert, at the Atlanta club, where Maite lives. Sofi commutes more than two hours to get to play the trumpet and Guada tries to convince her mother to let her continue with her music lessons despite her poor performance in school. The three of them face the adversities of their environment and feel a sense of belonging in the orchestra. Girls of the Wind is a brushstroke about the end of childhood and the beginning of adolescence.
