The Silence of the River, a short film directed by Francesca Canepa, follows the story of Juan, a 9 year-old Peruvian boy who lives with his silent, solitary dad in a floating house on the breathtaking Amazon River. This idyllic background sets an allegorical journey into the mystical Amazon rainforest, where nature, truth, dreams and all things not only reveal the identity of Juan’s father, but also help the boy in the pursuit of his own identity.
