Journalist Dermi Azevedo has never stopped fighting for human rights and now, more than three decades after the end of the military dictatorship in Brazil, he’s witnessing the return of those same practices. Through archive images and videos, selected by the directors, Atordoado, Eu Permaneço Atento displays parts of Brazil’s darkest past, when torture and political prisoners were plentiful, and he warns against that past becoming a reality again.
